What We Do
The Activities Department is here for you - our Grand Residents. We offer unique and exciting opportunities; from entertainment, to continuing education, and ultimately just keeping you busy here in Grand. From organizing activities and events, to working with chartered clubs and interest groups, and even providing you with a monthly issue of the Grand Lifestyles Magazine, we are here to assist you.
Our functions include but are not limited to:
- Organizing of events and trips.
- Providing continuing education opportunities through our Grand Learning program.
- Working with Sun City Grand's Chartered Clubs and Interest Groups.
- Publishing your monthly Grand Lifestyles Magazine.
Activities Volunteer Opportunities
The Activities Department offers many opportunities to be involved. Certain events, trips and community wide events require assistance from resident volunteers. Volunteers are an important and pertinent component of Sun City Grand. Volunteers are always being considered. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for your community please email us at [email protected] and let us know what area(s) you are interested in volunteering for.

For general information and to purchase tickets for activities, trips, and events, stop at the Ticket & Information Desk, located in the Sonoran Plaza. Staff accepts contracts and payment for Grand Lifestyles, classified ads, and disburse Pet Park tags. Please refer to the website and the monthly Grand Lifestyles for complete information.
Throughout the year, you have the opportunity to experience entertainers from across the globe. We have events suited for everyone to have a Grand time. Our events are the talk of the town! Buy a ticket while they last and observe first-hand what the hype is about. Purchase your ticket(s) to our events by visiting the link below. Hurry, tickets sell out quickly, so get them while they last! You can also Buy A Ticket at our Ticket and Information Desk, located in the Sonoran Plaza. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Grand Learning
The Grand Learning program at Sun City Grand offers enrichment courses to the residents of Sun City Grand and the surrounding communities. The benefits of attending classes include stimulating your curiosity, engaging your mind, and building new relationships. Courses on a variety of topics are offered, such as history, relationships, art history, music, archaeology, and religion. For these courses, there are no tests, homework, grades, or pressure--just enjoyment and stimulation.

Library
Did you know that Sun City Grand has an "On your Honor" lending library? From non-fiction to fiction, stories from far and wide are located in this unique library! Residents can stop by the Sonoran Plaza and grab a book of their choice from the library. Also, there is a limited supply of large print books and audio books available for you to enjoy. When you are finished reading a book or borrowing other materials, please return it to the library so that others may enjoy it as well. If you would like to donate a book to this library, please leave it on the movable cart or desk inside the library. You have the opportunity to be part of the library volunteer staff by visiting the Activities Ticketed/Information desk located in the Sonoran Plaza. Check out our Sun City Grand library and be amazed at our selection!
